Affiliated to the Department of Engineering, Information, Communication, Energy and Transportation Technologies (DIITET) of the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy, the Institute of Information Science and Technologies (ISTI) is CNR’s largest Computer Science institute, with a staff of approximately 220. It is dedicated to scientific excellence and technology transfer. Its sphere of activity encompasses Computer Science & Technologies and a vast range of applications.
Through its work, ISTI aims to increase knowledge, develop and test new ideas and broaden research application areas. It actively collaborates with the academic world and takes part in cooperative research and development programs, both nationally and internationally.
The institute also has extensive experience and a solid reputation in the design and production of e-infrastructures and in technology transfer activities for the industrial sector or the public administration.
CNR-ISTI in Pisa can now count on a customized solution, thanks to which the new Slurm-based MEDOOZA cluster developed by E4 can unleash a number of computing
