BENEFITS Outstanding performance and simple, flexible and highly competitive cluster management
The Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS) at the University of Naples Federico II has established close-knit, long-lasting partnerships with numerous research organizations both inside and outside the university. The DCS hosts and manages various items of cutting-edge equipment in a number of department and university laboratories, including the University Microscopy Centre, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory, the X-ray Diffraction Laboratory, the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, a Spectroscopy and Circular Dichroism Laboratory, the Robotics for Biotechnology Laboratory, and the High Performance Computing Laboratory.
The new cluster enabled the client to study complex materials in the field of energy conversion processes, which are extremely difficult to simulate. Medooza played a significant part in simplifying the technical management of the cluster: it lightened the load of the department on the administration front – an activity which can now also be done remotely – while also offering functional and targeted resource and data optimization on the user side for the computing required. Cluster Management, queue monitoring and optimum distribution of computational resources, all within one solution: this is how Medooza meets the needs of the Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Naples Federico II.
