The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE) together with the University of Florence and in collaboration with NVIDIA and Cineca present the ELLIS Summer School 2023 on Large-Scale AI, organized by the Modena ELLIS Unit, that will be held on September 18-22 at the “Enzo Ferrari” Department of Engineering.

The European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) is a European scientific network whose purpose is to promote research excellence and advance discoveries in the field of Artificial Intelligence, as well as to better prepare the next generation of researchers in the field of AI in a broad pan-European doctoral program. ELLIS includes 39 laboratories in 14 European countries, dedicated to machine learning and intelligent systems research.

The theme of this edition will be “Large-Scale AI for Research and Industry” and will give all ELLIS doctoral students and post-docs the opportunity to compare and share in person knowledge on machine learning, intelligent systems, and topics covered by ELLIS programs by practicing hands-on labs and lectures with the large-scale GPU structures of the European Leonardo Supercomputer.

Within the lectures, scientists and members of academia and industry will discuss their work related to projects on parallel GPU structures on the Leonardo Supercomputer hosted by CINECA
